Tenalter's Logboek, 26 jun 24

This is my first time posting. I have been dialed in for the past 88 days straight. I have set a 100 day goal of weight reduction, and I am feeling very encouraged for the results. I think this time around has been far more successful due to the following:

1. I have an amazing accountability partner doing the same system as I am. The two of us eat entirely different styles (I have been vegan since 2017 and they eat an omnivorous diet), but we are both adhering to calories-in/calories-out.
2. I am forcing myself to loose at a rate that is always less than 2 lbs/wk. In the past I would try to loose as much as possible as fast as possible. That would always be unsustainable and cause a yo-yo effect. I even had to adjust my formulas to make sure I increased my calorie intake because I was underestimating my calorie burn and I started loosing about 2.2 lbs. It was tough emotionally to force myself back to the 1 lb/wk rate, but I feel like making that change was great for my mind. I see this as a lifelong change and not a rush to some number.
3. I have built myself tools to best visualize the relationship between my calorie deficit and my weight. Building my own tools over time forced me to research more to fully understand the formulas, and now I feel an internalized connection.
4. I have set a 30 day goal after my 100 day goal. The 30 day goal is to maintain my weight for 30 days. This should help my body acclimatize to the new weight, and it further helps my mind not see the end of the 100 days as a time to go back to my unhealthy habits, rather a new phase of my life-long journey fueling myself as healthy as possible.
