Just checked it out, Sugar. Are you talking about hypophasia (sp), hormones, insulin, & keto? Yea. Pretty interesting, huh??

Sugar, did you see the calories in, calories out theory demolished by Dr. David Ludwig? Awesome watch!

YES!! Going to re-watch. He was so informative!

Many a person's own experience invalidates the "calories in/calories out" theory. Bodies are not machines, unless those machines are subject to unpredictable shots of hormones (that mess with how foods are stored and utilized) and water retention! I feel sorry for people who are doing what's supposed to be all the right things, not losing, and their doctor or nutritionist thinks they are cheating and lying about it.

Me too, trackin. I was once put on an antidepressants that had a POTENTIAL side effect of weight loss. When I went back for a check up and had gained 5 lbs, the DOCTOR actually said to me, "What's wring with you? Can't you just look at food and say "no""? I'm thinking, "Yea... I really needed that remark to down with the antidepressants that you're giving me which aren't working." SMH ANYHOOO.... I've only gotten a chance to watch the first of today's videos, but I think it's my favorite thus far. :)

People who haven't struggled with their weight just do not understand.

Look up "The Calorie Fallacy" by Dr. Libby. It'll explain much about the human body not being a passive container, but a container full up hormones that determines which nutrients are turned into fat or not. Unlike a CPU heat sink that directly transfers energy passively, the human body functions on hormones, and these hormones determine what nutrient becomes what in the body. If you're worried about subcutaneous fat, it's insulin. If you want to stop feeling hungry all the time, it's leptin. If you want to feel full, that's ghrelin. If you're worried about visceral fat, it's fructose sugar. There's a big difference between physics and human biochemistry. Very few people can't fathom this difference.

Look up Dr. Peter Attia, he's a doctor that's lost weight on Nutritional Ketosis and he explains the cholesterol dilemma where cholesterol isn't the enemy, it's sugar. Also look up Stephanie Person on Youtube, she's been on the keto diet for over 5 years. She 47 years old, ripped, and very strong. She looks like one of those crossfitters, but all she does is lifts light weights to tone up and eats a LCHF diet every day.

I myself lost 71 pounds on the keto diet in 6 months with zero exercise. I'd eat 3,000-4,000 calories a day on a LCHF diet and still lost weight. I'll never look at food the same way again. I used to be on an emotional roller coaster day in and day out when I used to eat a high carb diet because I'd get really mean and depressed when I was coming down from my sugar high. Now I'm smooth sailing and chill. I don't even think about food anymore. People think that going on the keto diet means restricting calories. That's not true, it's actually easier to meet your daily requirement of calories on a keto diet because fat has 2.25 times the calories of carbs per gram.
