Please don't think I'm being obnoxious. I ordered new clothes and the last of them finally arrived. I tried them on and they fit me beautiful. I look so nice in them. Mind you, I work in baggy, ratty old clothes. Thing is, I think I have a carnival fun house mirror. I can't believe what I look like in nice clothes. The mirror makes me look so pretty. It's got to be a fun house mirror :) I'm 56 and I'm acting like a young girl trying on clothes. Only thing, I DO NOT like to go shopping. Seriously, I want to say that every single member on here is beautiful no matter what they think of themselves. We are all bettering ourselves every single day. I am honored to be on this journey to health and wellness with all of you :)

I absolutely LOVE your post! That you have conquered negative self image is AWESOME! I think you are acting not "like a young girl" but like a woman who is beautiful and confidant in her "skin". To be able to look in a mirror and see how wonderful you are (not obnoxious at all, by the way) is a huge accomplishment. I know my perception of my body image is skewed, hard to believe what is seen in the mirror, seeing flaws instead of whole picture, asking husband if I look alright......CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!
