So very true Tina, you find yourself, get comfortable in your own skin, fully develop the you that you set aside while raising children and without any other effort on your part, a companion will walk into your life and celebrate who you are without changing you.

SW i am working on loving myself really hard and it is getting easier to accept myself. The other thing is for both of my children to have a wonderful life all the way around and be happy and successful in all they do and be healthy

LOL, even if you don't want them to!!! I never considered myself attractive, I was always unhappy with myself and that fact tended to push people away from me. I went overboard and out of my way to make other people like me, to the point where I didn't even know what I liked or wanted, I could not tell the difference between me and my husband. When I was 40 I went through a transformation, the marriage was on the rocks and I did not care if he stayed or left. I was on a mission to find me and I did. When I found myself and my true worth and found my own likes and dislikes. I walked with a surer step, I held my head and shoulders high, I looked people in the eye when we spoke, I was happy with me which translated to happier with everyone else.I stopped being a people pleaser and started doing the things that pleased me. I became my own woman with room in my heart to give and receive love from those around me. The result was, hubby began courting me again, we fell in love again and this time the relationship was as equals. Now in my daily activities I get attention and compliments from men and women alike, they like my smile, they like my hair, they like the way I dress, walk, talk, laugh. The happy lovable person inside me shines through in everything I do and I don't have to try to get people to like me anymore, they just do and......What they think of me is none of my business because it matters not to me what they think. I am my own person...if they like it...great....if they don't....great :) It makes life much simpler and happier for me.

debrahrederick, you are so AWESOME :) Now that is what true beauty is all about. Not the make-up, alluring clothing, and the flirting. We need to set higher standards for ourselves. It's letting your true self shine :)
