Deb...i need to see about coming down your way one weekend and us meeting and just sitting and talking....I will be a lot more confident in myself when i can get my smile fixed....i will probably wind up getting all of my front teeth pulled after i get dental from work. The three main front teeth are broke and they can cut if i am not careful...but i am getting there...
You ladies are an inspiration to me...you just dont know how much

I broke one of my front teeth almost 2 yrs ago. Totally ruined my smile :( The dentist said he couldn't do anything for it and filed down the front 2. They are now curved, not straight across :( On the other hand I am grateful to still have them.

well my insurance should be in effect around the first of September and as soon as it is, i am going to get things done...so not only am i getting a newer thinner me....YAY, i will have a beautiful smile to go with it...lol

I had very crooked teeth as a child, I had an overbite you could stick your thumb into and a gap between my front teeth that would have made Buckwheat jealous. I spent my teenage years with a full set of braces, glasses, greasy mouse brown hair, zits and I was overweight.....I spent all of my time hiding behind a book. I was a loner, riding my horse for hours, my animals never judged me or made fun of me, or called me names. I had my front teeth replaced when I was 42 and I have done nothing but smile every since. I never had confidence, I never had opinions, I never had preferences. I didn't even have a favorite color....if I wanted you to like me, my favorite color what whatever YOU liked. I married the first boy who ever took an interest in me, I allowed him to abuse me and misuse me for nearly two years till he threatened my child, then I took her and ran away as fast as I could. I was single for a year then remarried to my current husband. He is a wonderful supportive man but he had no idea how damaged I was and it was hard for him to deal with the changes in me as I grew up and began to heal. I call age 40 as the year I came into my own and began to celebrate the fact that I was a woman. We almost didn't make it, but he was patient and gave me space then he tried again with the new me, it was better the second time around because I could take as well as give. Tina, I would be happy to sit and talk with you. You will find me at the Stillmore Post office M-F from 12.30 PM to 430 PM :) I am the only person there....you can't miss me!

SW & FS Folks - you are making me chuckle and smile as I read the thread of posts.
I guess the scary dream for me would be taking a leap of faith and moving to that quaint little village in a picturesque community of nice folks like you all. Scary - because leaving the familiar and venturing into the unknown is always risky, Especially the older we get, the harder it is to let go. I love being a "free spirit", but the reality of it is scary.

Lifesatrip, Once I had to let go of Justin I lost all fear. I already faced my biggest fear. I am able to let anything go now. I welcome the unknown with open arms :)
