An early church commitment meant I did not want to go walking prior to that - too early for me. Got the commitment done and went on to pick up a prescription, a much-needed battery for my keychain car remote, and make a stop at the gym. Yes, that's right - the GYM.

It was a short trip, as I'm not doing a whole lot, but I wanted to see if I could work my back a bit, among other body parts. Very quiet at the gym, so it was easy to move from machine to machine.

Once home, the doggies put on their sad eyes and I relented and took them for 2.3 miles in the sunny, cool air.

I was close to dropping another pound this AM, surprisingly, even though my weigh-in was early. If I watch my food carefully today, perhaps tomorrow???? If not, it probably won't drop until next Tuesday, at the earliest, knowing how my carbs, calories, and weigh-in times go on the weekends.

Operation Christmas Child ramps up this weekend, beginning with some training. I'm looking forward to it, as this will be my first year doing anything beyond filling the boxes we donate. My church is also a Relay Center for several other churches, so there'll be lots of behind-the-scenes work to be done in the next several weeks.

Yes - Perhaps tomorrow. It is nice to have access to gym equipment - sometimes you just need to flex those out of the way muscles. And thank you for taking your dogs out - I was feeling sorry for them.

Good job going to the gym, I would like it if nobody else was there. Do you think it helped, or is it too early to tell maybe. Speaking for the dogs, though, they say Thank You! Talking to that pound of yours...BE OFF WITH YOU ALREADY & GET IT OVERWITH! Operation Relay sounds like a wonderfull project to be involved with, I hope you enjoy the work! Have a great day!

GG, I have 2 dogs so I suspect Buffy coached one and you did the other, since she's a Lab like yours! As far as improvement after working out, it's too early to tell. I did lighter weights on my sore areas, concentrating on slow movements, and then piled on the weights for my legs, which can take it. Of course, that was when I thought I wouldn't be walking today. The legs feel just fine, however, so that's a good thing.

Sandy - your dogs didn't need any coaching! Speaking of - it was windy here yesterday and a ton of leaves just dumped on our front yard - our dog was like a 2 year old at Christmas running around - bet he was wondering where all these new "toys" came from. Wish I'd gotten it on video.

Oh Buffy, I so wish I had my Lab gal on tape when she encountered her first fall leaf drop with us when she was just a puppy. At the time, we had a sizeable backyard with lots and lots of deciduous trees. I couldn't believe how many leaves dropped - and they kept on dropping! Anyway, my gal was probably less than 6 months old and she was so silly, diving into the leaf piles....then her head would pop up from underneath a pile, like some sort of canine submarine. Then she'd dive in again and go running around like crazy through all the leaf piles. Yup....just like a whole bunch of brand new toys! With your dog being smaller, he must absolutely disappear in the midst of all those leaves! Bet he'll sleep good tonight!

Well you got two works outs...we are creatures of habit and so are the dogs...they feel slighted you wnen else where..so they pouted...LOL. Sounds like you and Buffy only needs to get you some leaves to entertain them...thats so cute.....☺
