Got a job as a waitress at a fancy Italian Bistro in my hometown, located at the most crowded part of the city, the oldtown, which is full of tourists and visitors. We are full of reservations almost every night, which is impressing considering the fact that it's still March and it's actually low season in Greece.
I truly believe that some people are MADE to do this job; they're quick, observative, patient, social, pleasant and kind even to the most arrogant guests, they know how to pick up the empty plates and serve drinks neatly... Well, I am not one of them, that's for sure!
Okay, maybe it's too soon to tell since I am only working there for 2 days, but I have this feeling.
At least the money's good and the tips are generous and fair shared to the staff.
I really hope to improve my serving skills and get to keep the job, as I need to save money for my Master.
So far my dieting has been good, no sugar cravings for some weird reason, no overeating. That raises hopes that I'll be serious this time. Work distracts me from food and ofc I walk a lot, so that's definitely a plus.
