So I've got a fractured navicular bone in my left foot. This means no running for at least 6 weeks. I HAVE to exercise or I know I'll put on weight...for some reason I'm having trouble limiting my calories. I really want to stay around the 1200 mark, but I think I'm eating because I'm bored (since I would normally be running instead). The doctor said I can try the stationary bike, but if my foot starts hurting I have to stop. This morning it was hurting more than previous days so I'm nervous that even walking on it is not helping it heal. I might have to go into a cast. I also can't do my 5K race in March now...very bummed out and trying not to emotionally eat as well.

I hear you! It's hard when it's your foot. Hang in there.
I have been using the stationary bike at my gym, and by God, I get a sweat going like on no other machine. Had no idea how much you can get your heart rate going.
