So, yesterday I ate the cinnamon and raisin tea cake my daughter made me for a surprise breakfast
I WAS STARVING HUNGRY ALL DAY!!
But when I made my tea in the kitchen at work I managed to avoid:- Chocolate brownie bites Lemon drizzle cake Walnut cake Coffee cake Baklava Fresh Turkish delight
But it's really easy to see how I could consume loads of simple carbs in the time it takes to boil the kettle!!
My waist looks smaller, will have a measure over the weekend 😁 .. I'll keep that in mind, even tho the scales don't show a loss!
Does anyone else use the iPhone app-when I logged on last nite the layout has changed and I have no idea how to log physical activity now. Since I've gone back to work I have to really make an effort to get moving and need to record activities to motivate me
Thanks for the support and have a great day fs friends x

@Jadsl, that is concerning! I hadn't run into that research! I knew type 2 was on the rise, but based on the mechanism by which it works, I assumed it was in overweight individuals! Looks like I need to go back and do some more research again. I can't imagine how people who aren't overweight can be getting type 2? What causes the resistance is the fat surrounding the cells so that the insulin cannot lock into the insulin receptors and process the food. Type 2 people make enough insulin normally, some of them too much, and then they feed us more so that there is a flood to bombard the receptors in place of the fat. It is type I's who don't produce enough insulin and can't, no matter how thin they are, there is no reversing it. Their pancreas just doesn't make enough, or any. Huh. Back to diabetes 101 research for me! LOL
