Ugh. Must stop trying to self-diagnose via Internet. Warning: gross symptoms ahead.
I have an appointment to see my doctor at 2. Yesterday I could tell the sulfuric gas burps were coming back, and this morning they were here, completely unwelcome. It's disgusting, and my stomach is churning and broiling, and I have to stick close to the bathroom. This is the third time in 2010 I've had this problem - I'm wondering if I am lactose intolerant or if I can't process gluten or something; this began recurring right around the time I started the South Beach Diet. The burps are the absolute worst. Smells that foul should never come out of your mouth. It's almost like everything I ate yesterday is sitting on the bottom of my stomach and orchestrating this terrible symphony.
Is this what aging is like? Finding something else wrong with your body every couple of years? Parts that just quit working at their own discretion?
Anyway, we have a show tomorrow, so I should be at work getting last-minute things ready, but instead I'm at home being very, very still and researching all of the terrible parasites and conditions and congenital diseases that could cause what I'm starting to think of as stomach rot.
