Finding a plan that you can stick with for life is key, you are absolutely right. If you are going with counting calories, maybe weight watchers would be good for you. There are a lot of others here that will nudge you in the right direction, as well as give you tips and engouragement. No need to try to do this on your own! Take advantage of the great support system that is here! Good luck finding the plan that works for you, I wish you all the sucess in the world.

Miss Willie, I have to tell you that the only way to keep weight off for good is to make healthy changes in the way you live, that you can "live" with for the rest of your life. Learning portion control, how to eat out at restaurants, adding exercise to your life (if you don't already). I would say you are on the right track. Start slowly! Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet. Read fitness magazines to help motivate you. You will start to look and feel better. Good luck to you! I know it's hard, but you can do it.
