3.1 miles walked; just 2.3 w/doggies....again due to warmer temps and humidity.

I feel like I'm back on a weight-loss path, feeling like I used to feel in the mid-part of this journey. I had a good long talk w/myself. I haven't come this far to not make my goal. I don't want to be a person who says/thinks..."Well, I got close. I did lose a lot of weight, but I figured it was good enough where I was."

So, if I wanted to turn this around, I needed to go back to plan basics...not necessarily Induction, but basics. If I truly believed in low-carbing (and I do), then I must believe that controlling insulin is the key. And the key to controlling insulin is to control one's carb intake. If I really believe all this (and I do), then if I want to get back to weight loss, I've got to pull back on carbs, at least a bit (gosh, just like the book says!). I've also got to cut back, or eliminate, the low-carb products for now, and my own, special trigger foods (peanuts, nut butters, pressurized whipped cream)...again, funny how that's what's in the book. Dairy and even flax are a bit questionable for me, as well.

And, it's time to go with fresh, unprocessed food as much as possible...yes, the book again! I can't claim to be perfect on that aspect, but I'm trying to at least keep it in mind. And, of course, don't forget the water...and you know where that advice comes from....the book!

Funny how the plan seems to work when one works the plan!

We'll see if this can continue as I approach and try to drop below my former low of 152. But, all in all, lots of lessons learned over these last few months. Let's see if I can put them into practice in March.

Can't tell you how happy I am to have to back to your old self. And nice to see that weight chart dropping as well. Whatever you are doing I think you've got it right.

WooHooo...none of us are alone! I am struggling too, & totally agree with everything you said, especially the part about having come to far to give up, or accept where we are at...oh, AND the so cute how you put that again, the book! No peanuts...let's be peanut/nut/nutbutter free. What a challenge that would be.

GG, I've been back in the book a lot lately and it seems like a lot of portions that didn't really speak to me before when I did Induction and then OWL, ARE speaking to me at this point. Gotta run....tummy's telling me I should eat something!
