Tomorrow is my weigh in. I'm not too nervous because I know that I have been doing well this week and I'm looking forward to it paying off. It will also signify a week of dieting, and thats the exact period of time that I have to work with when I'm trying to get through week by week. I've been starting to do some math lately, and with 240 pounds as my starting weight, and 170 pounds as my goal weight, with a goal of finishing by May 16, 2008, that is a rate of losing 3 pounds a week. I think that is extremely unlikely, so I'm going to make a more reasonable goal of 1.5 pounds a week, meaning I'll be under 200 by April. It's a little depressing that it will be that long, but I'm realistic.
AND HOPEFUL! My new goal is getting under 200, and when I complete that, I will worry about getting to 170. In this case, I'm hoping to get under 200 by March, since its easier to lose weight, the heavier you are.
Today's quote and recommendation are the same thing, which will probably continue...
It's a quote from the musical "The Last Five Years". It's about a relationship between a man and a woman, with each of them singing solos about their marriage. The man starts at the beginning of their relationship singing about how great their relationship is, and how it deteriorates, and the woman starts at the end of their relationship, singing from deterioration to love at first sight. In the middle of the show is a duet at their wedding. Great show:
"Just holding you might compell me to ask you for more. There are so many lives I want to share with you. I will never be complete until 'I do'."
