I've had such a bad cold this week, I was really worried I was going to have to miss my work Christmas party. However, spending a day in bed on Thursday seemed to do the trick, and whilst I wasn't 100%, I still had a great time. The party was in our local De Vere luxury hotel, and the meal was amazing - and the free bar meant a constant supply of wine! We stayed overnight, and I must say I couldn't tell this morning whether it was the hangover or cold that is making me feel worse!! Of course, we had to have the full English breakfast - we weren't going to pay a small fortune for the room and not take full advantage of the fanastic breakfast buffet! So, am still feeling hungover, but also now sick from all that fried food. Just hope I'm not punished too badly on the scales tomorrow...
Anyway, I've loaded up a new photo of my hubby and I. I bought the dress specially, and whilst it was hideously expensive, I got so many compliments, it was definitely worth it! I haven't bought a new dress for a work party in years - I just haven't felt worth it, but my weight loss so far has really given me a boost in my self esteem and I'm so glad I made the extra effort.
Hope everyone is enjoying all the Christmas parties, although not too much!
