Suziqzer's Logboek, 11 mrt 10

Ok... So I've been working on the weight loss by starting with exercise this time, then watching diet instead of vice versa.

I started the exercise routine in September while my little one is in preschool... I go to the gym. I also started eating healthy chocolate in October which has helped curb my appetite when I eat it at the right times.

I did lose a few pounds and started feeling better about myself. My diet began to change for the better. Over the holidays I lost track of the exercise a bit and then my food choices went downhill a bit and I gained a few of those pounds back.

I began exercising again in January & my food choices improved shortly thereafter. I've lost 11 lbs since January and look forward to keeping the momentum going!

I have decided to try and commit to writing down what goes into my mouth and make myself more accountable for my food choices. I've done WW before and know how important it is... but also know how hard it is! I also realize my body needs more water!! I'm a diet drink lover and need to stop that already. Gonna limit myself in that department starting now... even if it means unsweetened teas/coffee to get it in me (decaf of course).

Hubby has also joined the workout part a bit and has joined me at the gym a few times which is a big motivator for me too. He too could stand to use a few pounds, but it always comes off so much easier for him I have trouble motivating him. When he does well ... I get discouraged because it is so much easier for him.

I joined this community hoping to give and get some encouragement and good recipe ideas, etc.

Good luck with everything. It sounds like you are on the right track. My husband is losing weight with me. He has lost double what I have and hasn't exercised as much and gets to eat more. It is frustrating that I don't get the same results, but on the other hand it helps to have him going through this with me. Lately staying on track has been very difficult and I know that if he weren't doing this with me I would be more tempted to quit. I don't want to sabatoge his progress, so I am sticking with it:)
