The Blue Box's Logboek, 27 apr 12

I'm going to visit my fiancée’s mother this weekend and that means I won't be able to enter in any of my diet info... Argh, normally I don't complain about having a smart phone, but darn, it would make things a whole lot easier! I guess I'll just have to break out the 'ole pen and paper and then tally the calories when I get back.

I just have the worst feeling that I am going to go WAY over my RDI... I wish I could call her up and be like, hey, what restaurants are we going to eat at? Oh, why? Well, I want to see what they have on the menu and then calculate their calories to make sure I'm not going to go over my calorie limit... Yeah that would go over well. Not!

Whenever I try to eat "healthy" around her she has to comment. Like if I'm getting a salad, she'll say "you can afford to eat real food"... And the kicker? She has had lypo-suction AND a tummy tuck... Me? I have counted calories and burned away the pounds with exercise. And I plan to keep it that way thank-you-very-much!

Now, I don’t mind that she has had surgery to help her on her weight loss journey. Different things work for different people, I get that. But she should respect that in order to maintain my body’s proper weight I need to eat right and exercise. I just wish I could tell her this without her becoming defensive or angry…

Aaaaaaaand that ends my rant for the day!

Hopefully the restaurants we go to will have fish. She might consider that to be healthy and “real food”! :D
