Rain, rain, rain....no outdoor walking for me today. Of course, I COULD go walking with an umbrella, but I choose not to.
For anyone who might be interested, I made a mistake on the Vitacost.com sale I journaled about earlier this week (I've now edited that journal entry). Yes, it's a BOGO sale, but it's actually a BOGO-50% off sale. Still a good deal, just not as good as I thought.
I got caught (like they'd hoped) on the BOGO part of it. Frankly, I think a "buy one, get one 50% off" isn't REALLY a BOGO sale and shouldn't be advertised as such, but that's just me. Even when the "50% off" part is eventually mentioned, I think the "BOGO" term should be reserved for true "buy one, get one free" kinds of sales. I still bought a lot of my basics (my multi-, DH's multi- and liquid stevia) on this sale.

I agree with you on the BOGO part. Not sure how they compare but when Puritan's Pride has a BOGO sale it is BOGO! Sorry again for your rainy weekend but you know your plants have got to be happy. And I'm sure you will find something to do!

Buffy, the garden and the lawn are seriously happy!!! And, I feel rather smug that I got the lawn mowed BEFORE this rain and all the rain that they forecast is coming our way over the next few DAYS!! At least the rain gave me time to get that vitamin order completed. Any rain coming down on your flower garden?

Not a drop of rain here, but we are prone to get unexpected afternoon showers in our area so all plans are weather dependent.

Walking with an umbrella would be a bit cumbersome. I agree with you on the advertising. They probably got a lot of people roped in with the way they worded that.

Walking in the rain always looks so romantic in the movies -- not so much in real life. We need rain here too. The farmers have cut down the wheat neat our house. Dry. You are in "blue line territory." Sigh! Sigh!

Rain off and on in my neck of the woods too, with tomorrow expected to be the same. Agree wholeheartedly with the BOGO not being true if you don't actually BOGO. Now it seems we have to check the fine print for sales as well. <grumble>

Hey Sandy..so sorry your having such a down pour..but at least it should cool things off..and I agree the BOGO are very tricky..got to read the small print..Its almost like the meds they advertize..if you take this you may have worse problems than the ones you have..Have a great Sunday...:O)

Karen, I pride myself on being pretty retail-savvy from having worked in it for so long, but every now and then, I'll get tricked by something. Guess I need to shop MORE to re-sharpen my skills!!!!

Weiner, did you ever see the movie, Little Women? In one of the last scenes, Jo runs out in the rain to stop "her" professor from leaving. Anyway, by the end of the scene, the back of her shoulders and dress are soaked....even with a huge umbrella! So much for romance! And, never fear....there are LOTS of blue lines available and I think one is reserved with your name on it!

Carol, we got more downpours this afternoon, but they finally let up enough for me to get a grocery trip in. The grocery store was a breeze with no one shopping!

Bren, meds seem the worst! And then the lawyer commercials follow up asking, "Have you experienced, this symptom, that symptom,...or death? Call us at...." If it weren't so sad, it would be funny!
