I just started my first job out of grad school on Friday. Yay!!! But... I am very suddenly changing my schedule, and I learned I have to be very flexible about my eating schedule. I also learned that I cannot wear heels at this job. My feet were killing me after 8 hours of going up and down floors. OMG. It's Sunday, and I still feel kinda tired!
On Friday / Saturday, I decided to relax and went a bit over calories, i.e., with social affairs, liquor, cake, etc. I hope this isn't a recurring issue. Maybe it's just a strong recovery from a tiring first-day? :( Or is this just how weekends are with a salary job? I just don't know. I've always had non-exempt positions until now.
Besides the weekend, I did so good with calories. Things went haywire when I left the office. I didn't get any pounds lost despite all of my low-calorie days. I mean, a 0.5 weight gain? Oh no. Not cool. I'm thinking weighing in during the weekend isn't a good idea. I've decided to move my weekly weigh-in to Fridays. Perhaps seeing the weight loss before weekends / recovery-time will help motivate me.
Does anyone have any tips for getting used to an earlier schedule that is all of a sudden incredibly tiring?
