Going to start posting on here to be more accountable. I’m at a point in my weight loss where I want to focus on losing fat and gaining some more lean muscle. Always looking for advice. :) I’m currently in the gym 5 days a week for about an hour and a half. My diets a little mixed, just focusing on eating healthy. No read meats, limited dairy, and low fat. For the time being I’m not weighing myself. I want to challenge myself to focus on non scale goals such as upping my weights and pushing myself to do more HIIT and less machine based cardio. So my weight entry may not be accurate. Let me know if you guys have any tips. Thank you!

Resistance training is key in my opinion. You've accomplished a lot already. My only recommendation is to really push yourself, go to failure or near it on all lifts after your warm-ups. The last couple of reps is where the necessary damage you need for growth is done.

The 5 days at the gym are probably doing more for you than the diet, but combined, the weight seems to be pouring off. Keep it up. Keep in mind though that muscle is denser than fat, so as you convert that fat to muscle, you may notice that your weight will start to go up instead of down, yet you'll look fantastic. That's normal. Just keep up what you're doing.

Diet is more important than the exercise where body weight is concerned.The exercise will help shape the body underneath the fat, however. It also is not possible to convert fat to muscle or vice versa. You can gain muscle while losing fat and vice versa though.
