I make gowns suitable for the Renaissance faire... where grown ups go to play at Knights and fair maidens... LOL Of course if you go to one you are just as likely to see fairy's, Elves, Gnomes, Dwarven Warriors and any other fantasy character you can think of. Last year there were Klingons! and was not able to post an example with the comment. So to finish the idea... THIS IS a gown I made myself for my birthday last year. It is hand stitched from the skin out the only purchased items being the wig and the white corset.

Beautiful!! I love it! My sister in Oklahoma talks about the Medieval Faires they have there with all those things you mention. Alas, VA does not. There was a medieval village built as a destination for tourists about an hour away but it was left to rot and is overgrown.

Wentzville is September 15 to October 13th. First weekend theme is Pirates and Plunder weekend 2 highland games weekend 3 Pet fest weekend 4 Oktoberfest and the last weekend is for the final HUZZAH! Should anyone want to come I would be willing to coordinate a visitation! I'm there EVERY DAY its open. (no not staff... maybe 2019) .
