I'm in my late 60's. Have three grown kids and 3 grandkids. My husband was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2007 and so it's been quite a learning experience to go gluten free along with him and relearning how to cook! At the time he was diagnosed with celiac, we also found out that he had colon cancer. I really feel that his going gluten free is the main reason that his cancer has not returned. He's been cancer free for 10 years. His doctor didn't declare him cancer free until 5 years after he finished his chemo. My husband and I live on a ranch. Even though he is old enough to retire, he still works every day and I'm busy with taking care of the garden and the yard in the summertime.
