I have struggled with my weight all my life. As a teenager, I ran and played sports. As an adult I also had to learn to manage my diet. I used to spend an hour in the gym 6 days a week on top of kickboxing classes, outdoor activities, and worked on my feet all day in a hospital. After having my son, I prioritized myself and health last. I'm a home health nurse (RN-CM) now, which means I spend half the day sitting. My turning point was when I struggled to buckle the lap strap on the kiddie rollercoaster my 9YO wanted me to ride with him on, and my husband telling me I'm starting to snore. I realize I have to prioritize my health as well if I want to continue living for my family.

Now I'm a middle aged woman and learned about hormone regulation, eating nutritiously, and exercise efficiently because I still don't have an hour to spend at the gym. I don't even have a gym membership, just a collection of home equipment. Consistency is the key factor, yet hardest to make and maintain changes, yet I think I finally found a routine that works for me to get back to the fitness level I used to be.
