Catered lunch at work. There goes my calorie count. I kept it vegetarian, but also ate baklava. I WILL be going to the gym tonight, yay Monday!

I've been over eating. I've been lazy about going to the gym. I've been super-busy at work, super busy as a mom, and tired. Even though I weighed a little heavy this week, I look thinner, my clothes fit well and I'm ok with my weight.
I might never see below 150 again considering I'm 40 and pre-menopausal, and I'm becoming ok with that too. I can't keep telling my sister-in-law that the number on the scale doesn't matter if I don't believe it myself. I'm in it for my long term health, not some number.
BTW, I've made great improvements in eating less dietary cholesterol, more veggies, way less meat, I haven't had an egg since January, lol! Olive oil is my friend, butter is not. Oats are my friend, bacon is not. I'm getting there and writing everything down is really helping me make the choices that are good for my heart. Happy Friday, all!

I don't know what my deal is this week. I. Am. Hungry. I feel like I could eat all day and never be full. Is it because I'm healthy after being sick last week? Is it hormones? Is it because there's Easter candy in the office? Is it because I worked out and actually burned some calories? Am I bored? I don't know, but I'm struggling to not just pig out.
My solution for today was to simply not pack any more food than I think I should eat. The problem is that I know there are 50 cent snacks down the hall. Hopefully I won't feel the need to go down there.
Also, apparently I'm officially old. I hurt something in my left hip doing lunges yesterday, and it woke me up with pain. Still hurts, like a burning sensation. Cool, now I have a torn up shoulder, knee and hip. Middle age is for the bird, seriously :-P My husband and I are both going to be in wheelchairs by 50 at this rate...

I've finally recovered from a cold that sidelined me all last week. Yesterday was the first day I felt clear headed, rested and went to the gym. I needed it, it felt great! Also, last week was super-stressful, and this week feels like I'm slacking because I'm not running kids around until 8 every night.
My oldest has his state wrestling tournament this weekend, so he's monitoring his weight, which keeps me from snacking. Then we all get a few weeks off until rugby starts. Spring seems to be here, which is great for may attitude.
Also, my dad retires on Friday! He deserves it and I'm really excited for him to be able to sleep in and just play. It's hump day, just keep swimming...
