Thought I would have lost more this week...doing everything right. Not as discouraged now that I have the Ketonix meter because I can see that I am burning ketones. Maybe I am holding on to water.

Ordered a Ketonix Breath Ketone Analyzer this past weekend and it arrived today! Took me a while to calibrate it but it showed that I was in the
RED
which means high level of ketosis! This will be helpful because "stealing" the urine sticks from work is problematic. Also, nice to have visual confirmation because as we all know, the scale can be so variable, depending on what time of day you weigh, if you've gone to the bathroom or not (lol), etc. I have been sticking to my plan...

Had a tough day with hunger yesterday. I ended up going just slightly over my total net carb goal slightly (52.41 gm) but had a hard time getting enough calories. I really have to eat more meat I guess, but I never was a big meat eater. I don't eat beef, occasionally I'll have pork, but mostly chicken and fish. I'm gonna boil up a dozen eggs just to keep in the fridge. I also bought some EAS and Atkins shakes. I'm gonna try to eat every 2-3 hrs today to see if that helps.

Happy November everyone! Hope you all did well resisting the Halloween candy! I didn't buy much but we did not have one kid come by!! I sat in the living room all night watching TV with that god-forsaken bowl of candy in the front hall but did not touch it at all. Can't say the same for my husband...I'm packing in all up and taking it to work tomorrow to get it out of the house.
Starting to notice that my pants are not as tight on my waist now and that is a good feeling (physically and mentally). Definitely gives me incentive to keep going. Keeping the food log has been key and I am thankful to FS for this wonderful platform. I only wish that the Android phone version would show net carb totals like the desktop version does. It would make it so much easier for those of us that need to follow this. As you know, there can be quite a difference in total and net carbs. All in all, I am very happy I found this site and all you wonderful people.

Really felt a lot of water weight leave my body over the last couple of days. Sticking to my plan of eating no more than 50g of net carbs daily, but finding that at the end of the day I am not really eating my calorie goal because I'm just not hungry. I have no desire to get into the Halloween candy at all! Last year I was snitching it already.
