I am trying something new, since my apartment is so poorly stocked with food I can eat (my sister and mom are on some nutso diet and couldn't budget for things I could eat, too). I'm stuck with all the old imitation meat things I used to eat all the time, so I figure I should use them. My solution: put it on a salad.

I had imitation orange chicken over romaine and cucumber today. It wasn't perfect as far as avoiding sugar goes, but I felt extremely satiated for under 700 calories. For once, I don't feel compelled to snack. I just had my evening tea and lots of water.

Future meals will feature: a black bean veggie burger (perhaps with salsa, avocado, and lots of greens), imitation chik'n tenders (I might try their funky zero calorie barbeque sauce on this, with greens and steamed broccoli), and maybe a salmon burger if I get desperate (ugh, frozen ones are pretty stinky and unappealing).

It's hard to diet when you are rummaging.
