Another day at the gym, workout done! :D That feels like an accomplishment. 6 days running save Sunday's because they are closed. I will be late to workout as I have a meeting first thing Thursday but my intention is to still workout. It is only 1 hour despite all I have to do this week.
Almost done with the third valence boy is sheer fabric a pain. 1 more to go after that. Sanding completed for the tilt out trashbin. Then it is all cleaning and baking/cooking for the party prep and 2 meetings and game night on Friday. :P
Then next week I can add games because I am 2 months behind again on work.
Oh well

I made it a whole mile on the elliptical machine in 8.5 mins. I hate that vile machine. Not as much as I hate the treadmill. But I am still giving it a go. Trying definitely file that under WIP. For the most part I am pushing myself but also not overdoing. I do not want to risk injury.
New sewing after all today. Instead I sanded on the tilt out bin we are making. That is alot of work on reclaimed wood. UGH!

Bleh! Up but I am going to chock it up to muscles holding water after my weightlifting yesterday at the gym. So, a day of healing and Monday is a cardio stretch day. Everyday is stretch day but I plan to do yoga too when I get home. There is a yoga class, spin classes but they all conflict with the open times of the shop. Oh well, I will make do. Maybe next quarter the schedule will change.
Sewing is what my zen thing to do today I am going to get my valences done. Then maybe the cat tree mini fleece quilts.
Off and sewing I go!
Hope everyone avoided all that poisonous candy and goodies! I succumbed to 1 tiny heath bar this AM.

Day 2 at the gym... today I got the run through on all of the cybex machines, rowing machine, inversion table, elliptical machines - you get the picture. I actually got to do the sign up and pay my paltry dues too. My trainer is an 80 year old man that is 10x stronger than I am. When he showed me the machines he was at max weight or adding additional 10 lbs to them. :O I am not judging I am amazed! He was a fabulous help and even set up a basic workout regime for me seeing I am new to getting back into the swing of things. I was exhausted at the end of it - the good kind. I knew I was going to like this!!

First day in the gym - for real. Well since 2007. I did try Curves before but I found it was just not enough. Short term when that was all that was around OK but not enough. Never felt sillier than walking in place between machines or doing little dance steps. I know I never pushed myself as hard as I do in a real gym and where I am going at the time I am going doubt I have much to worry about ridicule for my looking of fitness as I currently stand so that is good. I do not need that. Went really well despite the fact that I could not actually sign up and pay for my membership, a whopping $10 a month and I would gladly pay 3x that. ANd they still allowed me to work out. It is part of the school system and I am hoping we do not lose it when our small town leaves this system as they are not happy with the changes that are forthcoming. The superintendent's office is currently located in that same building but I have no clue what we own of that anymore though it is on Dirigo property. Not much I can do about any of it in the long run so I plan to work my rear off while we await the fall out.
20 mins on the recumbent bike on lvl 5, lvl 6 was too much and everything below that felt like I wasn't being challenged at all or too comfortable and then 40 min lifting using nautilus machines as there were only senior citizens there and I did not want them spotting me. No actual trainers just an old guy that cleaned the machines though everyone is supposed to do that anyway. Hmmmm strange. So I was careful not to over do and will build up to heavier weight over time I stuck with weight that was comfortable to start with but felt like it doubled by the time I reached the 3 set of 10 reps each. When it is still easy on the 3rd rep I will know it is time to raise the weight. That is the gist of what I was taught back in 2006-07 when I last went to a gym. :O too long.
