Had a close friend who didn't even know I was dieting / exercising ask me today if I had lost weight. Yay!!

Totally just killed my Friday night by taking a 4 hour nap and I loved every minute!

It's so easy to get discouraged on this journey. I definitely find myself getting caught up on how slow the process is. I know that it takes time but that doesn't mean that I can't whine my way through it!
I just get mad at myself for abusing my body for so long. There are some things that I'll never have because of the abuse. For example, I've had numerous stretch marks since I was in middle school and they are all over my body. I'll never know what it's like to have a body with tight, non-stretched skin. It sucks what being obese robs from us. Of course I think skin types also matter because some fat people have very few stretch marks whereas I have tons. But, regardless of the weight loss, stretch marks and a saggy body are here to stay for me.
Anyway, onward and upward. I'm all for being positive but I like keeping it real as well. :-)
