I have been following my diet 100% and have been steadily losing weight and feeling better since returning from Cancun. I have not been walking every day but I have gotten exercise organizing and cleaning the house. I have a whole food shake for breakfast, salad or a lettuce wrap for lunch and meat and veggies for dinner. I made stuffed eggs when we got home and gazpacho yesterday for snacks, plus we have nuts in the house. My new habit that I am working on is prepping for dinner in the morning so that I can stick to my plan later in the day when I am tired. What I love best about Hyman's diet is losing all the cravings. When I go off it, the cravings return and it is almost impossible to get back on. The week in Cancun was actually very good because I came back so saturated with indulgences that I couldn't wait to go back to a simple diet. I am wondering if there is a Vitamin B deficiency in the diet. I think I need to remember to take a multivitamin each day.

Just got back from a week in Cancun and decadent meals at the all-inclusive resort. We have been following our diet and doing well since coming home. It seemed to be what we needed to reset ourselves after struggling with the need for comfort foods after losing my grandchild to suicide in November. We seem to have that out of our system now and are ready to get back on track and lose all the weight we have gained since November (12 lbs. total for me).
I am going to fail miserably on the 15 lbs. in three months challenge but maybe I can just start it over again now that we are back on track.

Not doing so well in terms of weight loss. Have to get back on track in terms of cutting out carbs. That is the only way that I can lose weight. I will be alone for the next two weeks...good opportunity to get back on track.

My weight is bouncing around. Up today, but I can tell it is fluid retention. Ate out twice yesterday which always shows up on the scale. Although I had a salad with vinaigrette for lunch and broth-based soup with two meatballs for dinner, I also had chips and salsa. I am giving myself credit for making good choices, although I probably need to cut out the tortilla chips in the future.
