Visited Peter for 2 hours this morning, @ 2 more hours travel time. Picked Aria up at 1:15 and brought her home for a visit. We played cruise ship, then picked crabapples, cut them up and cooked them for crabapple jelly.
Then back to spa time on the cruise ship. She's having a sleepover and I will take her home on my way to visit Peter tomorrow.

made final batch of apple sauce, bagged and froze it.
Raked up 5 yard waste bags full of crabapples that have fallen on the ground. Very heavy... 2 bags that I filled last week burst when I tried to move them and had to double bag.
Went to library and picked up groceries. Making a rice pudding once milk thaws, and also a meatloaf. That will give me some foods ready to eat now that Peter has been transferred back to Toronto (St. John's Rehab Hospital), and I will be spending 2-3 hours on the road each day depending on traffic.
Today's to-do list was very long - 22 items - about half marked off and it's 3:30 p.m. so I should finish most of them. If I didn't make these lists, I wouldn't accomplish nearly as much.

Picked enough apples to make 2 more batches of applesauce. That will do us. I hope neighbours and friends take some; I hate to see them go to waste.
Tomorrow Aria and I will pick crabapples, cook them down and strain for jelly. When she comes over Wednesday we will make the jelly.
Gave our ensuite a good cleaning; then dusted and tidied our bedroom. I hate to say it, but lots less to put away with only me here the past 3 weeks. Switched one of our vintage quilts to hang over the rail in the 2-storey entry.
Completed more insurance forms; caught up on some emails.
Peter is being moved to a different room in Uxbridge when he comes back from today's visit to Sunnybrook. He is no longer in isolation, which is great... hope to take him outside tomorrow when Siobhan finishes work so that he can have a visit with Aria. He hasn't been able to see her since his accident, and they really miss the time they usually spend together.

making more applesauce; end-of-month paperwork done; visiting Peter at 2.
Tomorrow Peter goes by ambulance to Sunnybrook for follow-up x-rays and consultation with orthopedic doctors. Since he probably won't be back until dinner time, I won't be able to visit, but will talk to him after supper. I will take a much-needed clean-up day at home... bathrooms, floors and dusting.
And yet more applesauce. I'm getting close to having a year's supply.

Picked a dishpan full of apples today to make applesauce. This year's crop is so big that the branches hang down close to the ground. I will never use it all, and have offered apples to all my neighbours, if they will pick them.
Next week Aria and I will make crabapple jelly - huge crop there too.
