Those extra pounds are all my undoing. I went on vacation to New Mexico & the willpower was thrown out the door. Every time I visit a family member, they were ready to feed me & I said yes to all that homemade good chile & tortillas and beans every time. But the vacation is over and it is time to once again be good to myself. I think I may have found a weight loss buddy here at work. She is interested in maybe doing low carb w/me. I hope so because as a team we can encourage each other. Excited and I know I will be dropping soon.
I think I want a short term goal of under 300lbs by the end of October. We will see . :)

Just wanting to be honest with myself today. Enough lollygagging... There is no easy way. My mind & thinking has to be positive and strong in wanting to reach a goal. I can do this :)

OK! So this new weight of 317lbs was in December, 2021. After Christmas. But I didn't get to weigh myself this week so I am expecting a significant weight gain due to me not sticking to the program and indulging in foods that I normally stay away from. Those tamales & homemade sweets got the best of me! But it's time to jump back into it. The New Year has given me a boost to want to do better for myself and continue the journey. I have been looking for stationary bikes to purchase. I have to start somewhere right? It's so difficult to simply walk due to my knees. If I am on my feet for awhile, they start to feel like they have lead or concrete in them & I'm not able to move. So I know that this week I'm getting myself a small cycle of some sort. I have been looking at one on Amazon that kinda looks like a spinning style type of bike. I like it but don't know. I see on HSN or QVC they have a bike that is super lightweight & can be used in 2 positions. Regular stationary or recumbent. They have resistant bands built into it too. I would love it but don't know if it can support my body-weight. I will have to look into it deeper.
Well hopefully, the damage won't be too bad. I'll check in to record the truth once again. Happy 2022!!!!

I totally didn't realize I haven't weighed-in in such a long time. I think about it then get distracted. To be honest I am up in weight. I got as low as 320lbs. But I splurged on the Thanksgiving holiday. But I know that I will be back down as my body adjusts to going back to what I have been doing (low carb). I did try to stay as close to the eating regiment as possible but I wasn't over critical on it and am ok with what I did do. I know I over ate but there was no dessert for me.
Honestly, I believe Christmas may be a little more hard to get thru. Life without tamales is not an easy thing. But I found a recipe on Low Carb Love that uses almond flour as masa. I will have to experiment with it to see if it works. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday.
P.S. I am super excited to see myself get below 320lbs. People have been noticing my body shifting to a smaller size and am actually able to get in to some jeans that I haven't been able to in many years. lol... I even have to buy new underware. The other ones just are way too baggy.

I know I haven't been on in awhile & in the back of my head I have been wanting to log in. I guess work has been too busy along with home life & helping my child ready for the University. I am so pleased that I have continued to drop in weight. I wish I could start feeling less body aches though. I want to start doing a little workout routine. I have set it for one of my goals to accomplish this month. I believe I will try & do 15 min walking video on YouTube. This should be very doable & if any problems, I will be in the safety of my living room if I need to take a break. Fingers crossed. :)
