After being in a state of denial I am finally ready to face the truth.
I had to get lab work. My fasting blood sugar was 149 and my HgbA1c was 6.8. Total Cholesterol too high 226. Triglycerides 137, HDL 49, LDL 150, BMI 31.8.

So, I faced the fact that I am indeed diabetic. I read up on insulin resistance. It is a vicious circle. I may have gotten so fat because of the insulin resistance. I have struggled with my weight see sawing. I also slacked off by not going to the gym and have been eating whatever I want. So, I faced the hard fact that if I don't want to go blind, have limbs amputated and end up on dialysis not to mention the heart disease and stroke risk factors that I need to get serious.

As of November 1st I have been going to the gym everyday and working out at least 35-45 minutes everyday.
I am doing some elliptical, some treadmill, some biking, some of the weight machines. I walked a mile yesterday in the Heart Association Heart Walk Campaign.

So, I am entering all of this here so I stay honest and maybe someone else will read this and recognize themselves and know that they are NOT alone.
This community is awesome! My gym has zumba so I enrolled in the zumba challenge.
