My weight loss is coming along, very slowly, after having been stuck at a plateau for maybe 2 weeks. Now, having had some weight loss this week, I feel encouraged. The important thing is to never give up. The only reason I didn't lose weight before is that I gave up when I wasn't losing, despite following my plan.

My new plan is: (A) Stick to the plan, no unplanned cheats. (B) If the plan isn't working for two successive weeks, tweak it and see what happens. (C) Don't slack off on exercise. (D) Be patient. Weight loss surely MUST be inevitable if I don't give up.

My starting weight was 189 on August 11, although I didn't record that, because I joined fatsecret at the end of August. I've lost 14 pounds in less than 6 weeks. That's not bad.

I am hoping to reach 173 by Sept 30th by following my plan. Will check back in then.

My second goal is to reach 169 by the end of October. Having committed that to writing, I feel more determined to get there. As the tortoise said to the hare, slow and steady wins the race.
