Hmm, some days are just bad days.
Yesterday was stressful. Not sure why. Last day before Ramadan rules go into effect. I was off all week and was thinking it started Friday, then found out it was actually Thursday. Navy puts the rules into effect at 0001 (Midnight). So its 95 degrees at 7AM, expected to be 106F today, and we are wearing long sleeves.
Honestly, we sit in our AC rooms and wear hoodies usually, so its not that big of a deal, more of a white whine. The military folks have to wear thick uniforms all day, that have long sleeves, all year long. So us civilians whining are falling on deaf ears.
Anyway, because of Ramadan and all restaurants being closed during daylight for next 28 days, we went out to eat. TGIF where I had chicken wings, and a cheeseburger. It was yummy, and too much food.
Work was nuts too, lots going on, that happens when I play hookey. Plus an install team is onsite. Yech. Got out at 1730..
Kids/Wife made dinner. I skipped bike ride, ate a big dinner, made cinnamon/sugar almonds with my son, and ate a bunch of them. Then played Diablo III until I killed him on nightmare level.
Long story short, I feel like I should have gained 10 lbs yesterday, and I didn't! Hurray!
On a more exciting happy note too, my bike has been ordered! I am stoked!
Planning a long ride tomorrow in full Ramadan approved attire. Long sleeve shirt, long pants, 100+ degrees. With water (Not Halal!). Hopefully I wont get arrested.
