I recently had a reality check about my weight. I moved to NC last month and some how during the unpacking processes I hurt my back. As I crawled up the steps to my bed I realized that my weight made it impossible for anyone in my family to help me. I was bed ridden for three days. As I lay there thinking I realized how vulnerable and selfish I had been. My refusal to exercise restraint was robbing me of time with the people I love and who love me in return. I promised myself that when I got back on my feet I would commit to loosing the weight necessary to take the strain off my body and work my way back to health. I am at least 100lbs over weight. I have been diagnosed diabetes, hypertension, arthritis and plantar fasciitis. I am looking for a buddy who has at successfully lost a significant amount of weight or one who is currently on the journey. I am not looking for someone with whom I can share a partnership of support and accountability. I choose Atkins because I had success on this plan before and I hope I can do it again.
