caged liberty's Logboek, 28 mrt 08

Lost another pound today. Not bad, 5 lbs in less than a week. I know this is just a temporary thing, but I want to lose as much as possible in the beginning before I lose my enthusiasm, which is inevitable with me.

Being able to only eat eggs and chicken is boring me already. I am trying to follow a low carb diet (I dont know if its Atkins or South Beach!)but this induction phase is tough! The thing I am missing the most is the sweet stuff. I have a major sweet tooth but I dont know what I can have that is extremely low in carbs and also fulfills my sweet craving. Yesterday, out of sheer sweet desperation, I had a diet coke. The only problem was that the carbonation gave me serious heartburn.

I know there is probably stuff out there but I am also low on groceries which means I cant make things like cheesecake or even add Splenda to my Green Tea. I guess I better start researching some dessert recipes for induction phase and make my grocery list.
