Infection in my leg this last week. No exercise, retaining fluid in my leg and propensity to snack...ugh.
81,8 kg Tot nu toe verloren: 5,7 kg.    Nog te gaan: 18,8 kg.    Dieet gevolgd: Slecht.

Ugh indeed. I have adrenal insufficiency and get stuck on the "no exercise" DL myself pretty often. I try to use it as a time to refocus and look for inspiration. I figure if I have to sit on my duff for a week I'm going to keep my eyes on the prize. When I'm tempted to snack I start looking for a new swimsuit, research healthy recipes and new exercises to do when I can get back into it. It helps me to stay excited and anticipate what lies ahead when I can move again. I think about making the investment in myself, how my life has changed with improved health and how it will continue to improve. I fantasize about doing fun things you can only do in good health, like running amuck with my 2 yr old nephew and hiking a local mountain so I can photograph the view. It's also a good time to spend in prayer or meditation, focusing on your body and it's healing process, allowing the inner connection with the Divine guide the nutrition you put in your body to support healing. Why do we diet and exercise? To improve our quality of life, esp. when faced with illness. Lasting change takes time and there will always be periods of re-adjustment. You can totally do this. :-)
