Got a good 9 hours in last night. I actually feel better for not biking yesterday; I think it's too cold to do that when it's under 7C for me. I think I'll change from biking to hiking when it's below 7C. Lost a little over 1 lb since last weigh in, but I'm not counting fractions. I guess the 3 and 4 lb losses were massive water reductions, thus the frequent expectoration. I feel really good. I am getting hungry after 5 hours of work and exercise, and it's a real hunger, not hand-mouth syndrome.
I ended up biking today because it really warmed up. I really miss when I can't bike.
I finally found out how to calculate what I am burning in calories per activity based on my weight. I was uncomfortable using the activities listed here because they didn't even come close to the things I do on the farm. Splitting wood for example, and hand stumping. Now I feel better about it. The formula is: weight(kg)x MET x time x 3.5/200. MET is a value given to a specific exercise. Time is the duration of the activity. MET values are easily found on the Internet. I'm on my way to a massive calorie burn today. I feel fine, physically tired but not sleepy, not hungry. I've got 6 hours of desk work ahead of me.
