12 hours isn't really a fast, but I agree to not eat unless you're hungry.

I'd make it an 18 hour fast, but that's because I don't like to eat before going to sleep. If you are really hungry, why not break it earlier?

If you need/want to eat before going to bed, there's no harm versus other times unless you have acid reflux or some other issue. Since my appetite resets over night, I usually try to not eat near bed time since that seems to work for me.

Let me hurry and get in my opinion even though you are probably already in bed... I say- unless you can't sleep because you are hungry- stretch your fast another 8 hours. Wait- is there a woman alive that can sleep 8 hours? 6- whatever. I'd take advantage of being sleepy. Guess the choice is yours. Adef- my best fasting is also when I am asleep. LOL

FloridaAngel, if 12:12 is the best you can do on any given day, that's okay. Ignore your "habit" but definitely listen to your body.

I probably would not eat if that felt right. Most of us fasters try to get a good 3 hours pre bed time without food if that fits in. If you are super hungry and cannot sleep then eating sounds like a good choice. Good job either way
