So, again with the weight gain. Another three pounds. . .yet, again, I've lost another inch. I also got my body fat percentage measured and I've lost another 2% of my body fat. Considering that, I KNOW that weight gain is not fat at all. That number on the scale is starting to mean less and less as this continues because there is obvious improvement in my body shape and fat percentages as well as improvement in my health and energy levels.

With just a cursory glance through your diet history, the sodium levels are appearing entirely too high. Think of it like this, your kidneys work overtime to flush the salt but they can only process so much at a time so the rest becomes overflow in your blood. It's salt, so it's retaining water in the bloodstream and collecting volume. This makes all your other organs work harder to pump the increased bloodflow, and, adds to your weight by virtue of the excess water in your body. You can track sodium through here, I would spend four days making sure it's in the 2000-2500mg range per day, possibly cutting to half that if possible, and then re-weigh yourself. If I had to guess I'd say you could lose up to four pounds in just water alone. With a continued tracking you will probably see a more steady loss and none of the spikes.

Yea I've been knowing that. I try to keep it semi-low but seem to fail horridly at that. Right now my main think is trying to actually get myself to eat enough, I've been doing pretty well for the last week about but I've also been working a lot more. It is so bloody hard to find low sodium stuff, even when you cook a lot. Sodium is everywhere these days, it's just unbelievable what has sodium in it nowadays! I'm trying to find some decent other options to lower the sodium that don't leave me struggling to eat it through the bland (I'm Cajun, We're use to robust flavors) but even bland stuff is sodium packed! Got any ideas that may help in locating lower sodium options?

The best combinations I've found are lean, low-fat meats. Pork tenderloin, boneless skinless chicken breast, bone-in turkey breast, then mixed with Mrs. Dash marinades and a little bit of liquid smoke. For me, that's something I can toss in a slow cooker and have a meal ready when I get home. Some kind of veggie on the side, maybe a bag of frozen vegetables warmed up in a skillet like a stir fry. But Mrs. Dash is a really good salt free substitute when you still want a lot of flavor in your food. Good luck!

I didn't know Mrs. Dash was salt free! Yea, that'll help a lot when it comes to home stuff, thanks!
