I am trying Smash, 16-18 hour fasting, 1100 calories and extra water intake. One of these days I am going to need to add in exercise that would probably help. Thank you for the encouragement!

just my opinion but exercise is a bonus and really works. but your doing it right. when we get our way of eating dialed in then the exercise is great. just my experience but I can't out workout a bad diet but I can always benefit even from a bad workout with my eating.

Hebrews, at one point in my life I was 89 pounds not eating for weeks at a time and going to the gym for hours. Though that was years ago, when I "diet" now I struggle with disordered thinking. I know everything needs to be in moderation. Anyway....thank you for the encouragement.

I agree with Hebrew but after reading your response I see where your coming from. Disordered eating entails a lot of layers of control issues. In terms of controlling your input and output of energy. The fact that you have been able to let the control of output or exercise go is a amazing accomplishment. It sounds crazy telling somebody I’m proud you quit working out. It in your case it’s cause for celebration 🎉. The truth is we all have to eat and I see you have chosen the IF method with a calorie count parameter. I think that’s great. Your still in control of your food but you have realized there is a minimum amount you must eat to function. One day at a time hommie! I’m am a former obese man who now is a bodybuilder. Disordered thinking is a reality for me too. Scared to death to eat but knowing I have to so I can put size on had to be learned. I think your doing good and love to hear success stories like yours

I too suffer from disordered thinking due to ED in my teens and early 20s. now it's hard to keep on track esp when I see my cal count go up 500 from one meal but I remind myself to be mindful bc those calories are what fuels me to be the good mom or the bubbly worker or the house maid lol. I'm here with ya!! keep kicking butt and being honest with yourself

Earth Mama- oh you are so correct! Watching the calories and macros add up is difficult somedays BUT we need it, they help us be better examples for our children. Thank you for the encouragement.

Hebrews, NO NO... not at all. I really like all the tips, advice and stuff I learn from everyone. Ypu could not have known because I had not shared that part of me.

I don't do fasts, anymore. I haven't done them since early 2000's. They cause me to binge. I don't like bingeing.
