I know I can do this... I haven't always been big. It's a combination of 15 abdominal surgeries over a decade, trying desperately to keep my head above water as a single mom and battling a lupus-ish autoimmune disease which has destroyed my gall bladder, thyroid, and intestine. The biggest enemy has been discouragement. Every time I got back to the size I liked, I had to have another surgery. Last time I was just so discouraged that I quit trying. I've probably gained and lost over 600 pounds over the course of those years. But the worst is behind me now, I finally have a competent physician and I'm on thyroid meds. Nothing can hold me back now.
