Basically on target. Stew and Chili insanity over the weekend probably added a pound to the week (I was over by about 1,000 instead of under by 2,000 for the two days = ~3k calories), but I'll take it. 4 pounds a week is good; I'll start incorporating running again after I get below 215 which will help fill in the rainy days when I can't cycle. In addition, trail running days are almost here again.
I am going to continue shooting for a 4-5 pound/week rate until I hit 200 (and perhaps beyond?). While I realize that is an accelerated rate of weight loss, the vast majority of the loss is coming as a result of vigorous exercise (and the increased muscle mass and higher metabolism that result from the increase/change in exercise regimen) rather than severe caloric restriction. So far so good.
