I measured my body fat and found unexpected numbers. I should probably redo the measurements next week. Today happens to be the first day of my menstrual cycle and I can see how that may make these numbers strange.
May 147 lbs 35% body fat 51 lbs fat mass 96 lbs lean mass
June 145 lbs 37% body fat 55 lbs fat mass 90 lbs lean mass
It doesn't make any sense that I would have significantly less lean mass this month given that I've started working out. I should have more lean mass and less fat mass than last month. Why do I have a higher body fat percentage? That makes no sense whatsoever. I'm probably bloated... right, ladies?
Who knows.
I do love that I lost 3 pounds!!!!!!!!

Bloating is a very large part of it that's for sure. No worries, it will change in a few days or so. Great loss by the way !!!!!! :)

Great job. Do you measure your body fat with a scale? If so, they're not 100% accurate and not always consistent (the numbers can be all over the place), but they're good for seeing the overall trend. If you're working out, I wouldn't worry about it at all :) Have you noticed any change in how your clothes fit? I'm happy for you! It's great to workout and be rewarded for your efforts. Keep up the good work.

I even bought an office blazer in a size 8, which I haven't worn since I was nineteen years old! I may move into a size medium soon! That would be sooooooooooo excited. There is such a great selection of clothes in the store for size M. :DD

And no, I no longer measure my body fat with a scale. I tried that for a while but felt like I couldn't really count on the scale. I'd much rather use an online body fat calculator and use measuring tape on myself. I find quiet enjoyment in see in the strip go down to a new number, especially on my waist.

I blame it on the bloating. These numbers make no sense.
