Weight holding steady. Four days in a row walking and going to the gym, plus low calorie eating, but then again, my expectations are only for a pound a week, so we'll see where we are after 7 days of this activity. I've been doing weights at the gym and 20-30 minutes of cardio. I may have to step up the cardio to get the weight loss to pick up if that's what it takes.

It's weird to see that for 4-5 days now, I'm maintaining my weight at only 1100-1300 calories a day with daily workouts and daily walking and weighing 205 pounds. Yikes. That's a pretty severely low BMR. I always knew my metabolism sucked my whole life and it's certainly one reason I put weight on so darned easily, but that REALLY sucks. LOL!!

Still, I'm withholding true judgement after a little more time goes by.

Hope this works out for you, time will tell. Good luck. I so know how sucky a low metabolism is. I have tried a lot of different strategies to get mine moving and still working at it. At that number of calories, I gain weight. I am shorter and older so that has to factor in the equation.

I too am of the little people. and I am maintaining between 1100 and 1200. I am actually full and content at 1000 so I fluctuate up and down. height definitely plays a large role in the numbers...

Have you been checked for a thyroid problem? That is probably what would be happening with me if I did that much dieting and exercise, and I weigh the same as you. I finally found out last year that I have Hashimoto's...and then it finally made sense. I had already quit starving myself because it seemed the less I ate, the more I gained...and exercise is only 10-20% of the equation, from all I read. Once you're over 40 (as I am), supposedly diet is 90% of it...and that's if you're normal, not challenged with other factors. If you want more info about Hashi's, let me know. Don't pay much attention to my profile because I'm just coming back to track food for a while...not sure if I'll keep it up, but it's a good spot-check! Wishing you the best!!

By the way, for people like us who have had a "low metabolism" all our lives, the best book I've ever read to explain what's happening is "Why We Get Fat" by Gary Taubes. I've probably read 50 diet books, and this one blew my mind!
