I use a free phone app called Walking Mate, which is pretty good. As I always have my phone on me :-)

They are very good to guage how much walking you are getting in and they are very inexpensive, i.e., $10.00 -$15.00 at a sporting good store, or Amazon.

Like ebivr, I use a phone app. Just need to carry the phone everywhere you go. :) Be careful in the BR and kitchen :)
