Well, looks like I have finally figured out how to keep going on my weightloss journey. They say you have to make life long changes to be able to sustain and maintain weightloss. In my previous 100+ lb weightlosses I never learned that. This time I found some people online that have helped me learn new, better eating habits. Also the Epicure Life Challange helped a lot. There food tastes really good and I have learned to cook really good tasting healthy food! This is the first time in my adult life I have been under 235 lbs. The day I turned 16 I was 235 lbs. I am now 55! I guess this old dog can learn new "tricks"! It feels amazing to be over 11 months into this new way of life, have shed almost 120 lbs since Jan 9, 2022 and I do not feel deprived what so ever. I am not looking to go back to eating my old normal. That is a first! My next goal is to get into the 220's. and then the 210's, 200's and then to finally have a 1 in the front of my weight! I think I might cry when that happens! Thank you to all of you that have helped support me throught this year and the passed 10 years that I have attempted to lose the weight and get healthy. For those of you struggling and beating yourself up for your "failures" my biggest lesson I finally learned this time was to "Be Kind" to myself and to forgive myself when I had a "bad" meal, day, etc. All the work I have put in isn't destroyed by a meal or day or even a two week vacation. Which I did take back at the beginning of November. I went on a cruise. Enjoyed myself. Ate not crazy, but didn't stress about what I was eating either. I came back and had gained 11 lbs. I didn't beat myself up and quit instead I just got back to my new normal way of eating and within 3 weeks I had taken thise 11 bs off plus one more. I am now 4.6 lbs less then the day I left for that vacation. That was a huge hurdle for me to overcome. And it feels amazing to be able to do that. Looking forward to the next 6 months and working towards that goal of getting into the 1's! I have never really ever thought that would be a possibility for me. I had always thought 235 lbs was the lowest I could go. Now, at 55, I finally know better.

Congratulations! This is the mindset that I am living with also! I wish it would be coming off quicker (I seem to be in a rather long plateau). But in the past, that would derail me and back I would go to bad eating habits and put it all back on - along with some of its fatty friends. You are on the right track! I haven't been under 200 since I met my husband 30 years ago, so I relate to you disbelief that it could be possible! I hope to join you in the "1s" very soon!! Stay the course! Good things will happen!! 💪 💯 🌎 🫶 ☘️

Congratulations... very well put! I could almost feel a lot of similarity to your experience. Being we both went down a lot of weight. Didn't think I'd ever be in "shape" again. Keep at it! 🤝👋💪

Bob! I am so proud of you.😄 You are proving how much human power is excellent. Once you can do it, it means others can do it, too. There are countless miracles on Earth, but changing ourselves is also a miracle because it is never easy. I wished a gift or magic would happen to me before. I knew there was no such magic, but I wanted it so eagerly because I failed whenever I tried to lose weight. I was so overwhelmed, and to have an average weight was beyond my power. However, I realized I could make a miracle by changing myself, and it happened to me. I believe you also made a miracle. I can imagine how much you changed everything about yourself and your lifestyle and controlled any factors around you to lose weight and live a healthy and happy life.💖 Kudos to you. 👍

Congratulations. You have done outstanding. Healthier eating most of the time and less healthy or less conducive to weight maintenance just once in a while. Deprivation does not work. Really, really happy for you.

Be Proud! You are a living role model for those around you! I have found that I am a motivator for people, several that I had never met before they approached me. Keep on living your new healthy life!
