Thanks Tater! That's my buddy, he was 17 last year when he passed. He would wait by the shower because he loved getting pet first thing when you'd come out. As for the fitness quest, I'm in a good place right now. There's a good 15lbs of excess, but it's not holding me back from the activities that I want to do, the way it was before when the excess body weight was leading to injury. Sometimes people say to ignore the scale and focus on health. Yeah, there is some truth to that. But when you know your body and you know what weight you perform best at, the scale helps you to be honest with yourself. The mirror and clothes tell a decent amount of the story too. But I wouldn't ignore any of them. Good luck with your journey. 

Aw i'm so sorry for your lost. My cat was 17 when she was put down a few months ago - sadly she had cancer and it was making her suffer 😥. RIP to our cats. I'm happy you're in a good place with your fitness, and I agree with everything you said! Extra good luck to your journey, and keep on going!! I am going to follow you so I can watch your weight loss journey you're 💚supported :)
