hello. you have taken the first and most important step. you are here and you want to change. there are lots of us on here struggling with health problems which make exercise tricky and life struggles which demand time and energy and lots of things which can be stressful and worrying. looking after yourself when life gets in the way is often the last thing on your mind even though you know the way you feel emotionally and health wise does nothing to help. so you are definitely not alone. definitely!!!!! so noone can tell you exactly how to do it for you but the bottom line is to think hard about how you are eating... not just what but when and how... try to replace those naughty things with better things. set yourself a realistic target for a few days and see how you go. perhaps one tip if i may. if you have a bad day, and we all do, dont give up just start again each day. plan for fruit veg and protein and teach yourself which might be better snacks if thats one of your needs to keep going. i read calories on packets and i do keep a check but mostly i want to be healthier and less prone to even more health issues than i have. which are... m.s., asthma, osteopaenia, high cholestrol, and so on and widowed last year. so well done. get cracking one day at a time. you can do it! good luck.
