People think of hard work
as bunches and bunches
of crunches
or,
if they are a bit of a jerk
hard work,
is shifting shifts
while complaining of b***tches.
for me though,
hard work
is going toe to toe
with that stupid mindset
"I've been good; I deserve a reward".
Hold the phone,
when did food choices,
have a moral tone?
So indeed, I am neither good nor bad
if I do a simple carbohydrate pad
a late night fridge wander
these things I ponder
to re-double my efforts at travail
it's all choice.
