From experience - make sure your immediate goal is attainable. It doesn't have to be big. 5lbs at 1/2 lb a week. When you accomplish each goal your motivation gets stronger. And before you know it you're a size smaller! Then on to the next step/goal. You've got this. And keep moving. My fit bit has a new challenge where you have to make 250 steps every hour between 9 & 5. Small things can add up to great results.
